Job description

INTEGRATION & TEST ENGINEER (FALCON)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Design high-level vehicle assembly architecture
  2. Design and develop tools and hardware to enable vehicle assembly and ensure vehicle testing abilities
  3. Develop full testing campaigns ensuring vehicle integrity of electronic and propulsion systems
  4. Vehicle integration build flow and test concept of operations
  5. Evaluate proposed designs for manufacturability and integration into subsystems
  6. Interface with engineers and technicians to advance to larger scale manufacturing and automation
  7. Develop and refine manufacturing assembly procedures based on lessons learned to mature status
  8. Responsible for enabling day-to-day execution of the vehicle integration and test flow
  9. Manage work orders and drive nonconformances into actionable items and system improvements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing
  2. 2+ years of experience in the field as a test or manufacturing engineer supporting highly integrated cross-disciplinary assembly operations

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Master's degree in engineering
  2. Experience with build integration and testing of propulsion, thermal, electrical and/or structural systems
  3. Documentation and configuration management experience
  4. Experience writing test plans, procedures and providing go/no-go judgment
  5. Experience in a production environment within the aerospace industry

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Position may require extended hours and weekend work
  2. Some travel to our launch sites may be required as needed
  3. Position may require one to be on their feet for extended periods of time, up to 4 hours or more
  4. Position may require working side by side with technicians on the production floor in tight areas with little room
