This position collaborates with staff, volunteers, and community partners to ensure timely, dignified, and effective support while maintaining secure records and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Mature Christian faith and alignment with World Relief's mission are required.
  • Experience working cross culturally with diverse populations and preliterate or non-native English speakers is preferred.
  • Ability to read and write proficiently in English and to learn new software tools.

ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

POSITION SUMMARY:

World Relief seeks an Integration & Stability Programs Caseworker who will play a vital role in supporting refugees & immigrants as they navigate the challenges of rebuilding their lives in a new community. This position provides strengths-based, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed case management to individuals and families navigating the challenges of settling into a new community. This includes supporting participants through community integration and helping them move toward long-term self- sufficiency. The Integration & Stability Programs Caseworker assesses needs, develops service plans, coordinates referrals, and ensures access to essential resources. This role works closely with program staff, volunteers, and community partners to ensure immigrants and refugees receive timely, dignified, and effective support.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct initial intake to collect demographic data and assess program eligibility.
  • Develop individualized service plans that reflect participant-identified goals and benchmarks.
  • Provide ongoing case management support to address barriers to self-sufficiency, including but not limited to housing, employment, health care, education, and public benefits.
  • Offer orientation and coaching related to community resources, transportation, U.S. systems, and cultural norms.
  • Assist with coordination of appointments, referrals, and access to services.
  • Serve as a cultural liaison and advocate for participants within the broader service landscape.
  • Conduct regular participant check-ins via phone, virtual meetings, home visits, or in- office appointments.
  • Empower participants to take active roles in achieving their goals.
  • Provide participants with resources and training as necessary to ensure appropriate services are completed.
  • Refer participants to relevant resources and follow up to ensure successful linkage and service outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with local service providers.
  • Provide feedback, insight, and suggestions to further develop our internal systems and programs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, documentation, and participant records.
  • Keep all information updated in a secure database.
  • Complete all required reports and data entry in a timely manner.
  • Participate in monitoring, audits, and quality assurance activities.
  • Monitor progress toward participant goals and conduct case closures when services are complete.
  • Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and program reviews.
  • Contribute to maintaining internal library of community organizations and agencies to make timely, appropriate referrals; outreach organizations to create partnerships as needed.
  • Attend external community meetings and build relationships with community agencies.
  • Collaborate with volunteers and interns, delegating appropriate tasks and providing guidance.
  • Work closely with internal service teams and external service providers to ensure comprehensive service provision.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Mature and personal Christian faith
  • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
  • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document
  • Valid drivers license, access to reliable vehicle and ability to pass MVR standards
  • Experience working cross culturally and with preliterate and/or non-native English speakers
  • Flexibility and desire to learn and serve others
  • Ability to read and write proficiently in English
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and with diverse groups of people
  • Intermediate computer knowledge, including MS Office and the ability to learn new programs (previous experience with databases desired)
  • Basic proficiency with phone, laptop, and standard office equipment functionality
  • Up to 25% domestic travel only required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proficiency in one or more common immigrant languages highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to work sensitively and effectively in cross-cultural settings, while communicating cross-culturally
  • Ability to evaluate and respond to crises
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, dependability, and excellent follow-through
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain detailed, accurate records
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and problem-solve
  • Knowledge of state and federal benefits system preferred
  • Previous work experience with immigrants or refugees preferred

$27.70 - $28.60 an hour
