Job summary

First Point Group in Plano, TX is seeking a 5G RAN Architect with strong integration experience across RAN and CORE to design and validate end-to-end solutions.

You will perform hands-on integration, test automation (Python/Shell), analyze logs and KPIs, and collaborate with solution architects, network engineers, and customer teams to ensure robust, secure deployments in industrial use cases.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of 4G/5G wireless networks and RAN fundamentals.
  • Experience with 5G architecture, Core, RAN, transport, network management, and end-to-end service delivery.
  • Familiarity with Private 5G, Private LTE, Enterprise Wireless, or industrial wireless networks.
  • Ability to develop and execute automated test cases and validation scripts.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse network architecture, topology, solution designs, and customer requirements to develop integration strategies and detailed validation plans.
  • Perform hands-on integration and configuration of 4G/5G RAN, Core, network management, cloud, transport, and enterprise network components.
  • Execute integration, system verification, regression, and performance testing across complex end-to-end environments.
  • Validate device onboarding, connectivity, mobility, QoS, segmentation, APN/DNN, latency, throughput, reliability, firmware updates, and failover/recovery.
  • Build and execute automated test cases using Python, Shell, or other scripting/test automation frameworks.
  • Analyze logs, alarms, traces, KPIs, packet captures, and test results to identify the root cause of integration and network issues.
  • Troubleshoot problems across RAN, Core, transport, cloud, devices, enterprise LAN/DC, security zones, and applications.
  • Validate Private 5G solutions supporting industrial use cases such as manufacturing, logistics, mining, ports, airports, autonomous vehicles, scanners, sensors, and connected industrial equipment.
  • Test network behavior under high-load and mission-critical conditions, including scalability, redundancy, failover, recovery, and service continuity.
  • Incorporate security requirements into validation scenarios, including authentication, encryption, network segmentation, access control, and zero-trust principles.
  • Work closely with Solution Architects, Network Engineers, Software/Development teams, Project Managers, Security teams, and customer engineering organizations.
  • Develop and maintain Methods of Procedure (MoPs), test plans, test cases, implementation documentation, configuration records, and acceptance evidence.
  • Automate repetitive integration and validation activities to improve testing speed, consistency, and coverage.
  • Support customer acceptance, deployment, early-life support, warranty, and network stabilization activities.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to tools, automation, processes, and integration methodologies.

Requirement
  • Strong understanding of 4G/5G wireless networks and RAN fundamentals.
  • Experience with 5G architecture, Core, RAN, transport, network management, and end-to-end service delivery.
  • Understanding of network performance concepts including latency, throughput, reliability, capacity, mobility, and QoS.
  • Experience with Private 5G, Private LTE, Enterprise Wireless, or industrial wireless networks is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with APN/DNN, network segmentation, QoS, authentication, and enterprise network integration.
Test Automation & Scripting
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python, Shell, or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience creating automated test cases, test suites, validation scripts, or test frameworks.
  • Ability to automate repetitive network configuration and verification activities.
  • Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD or continuous validation environments is a strong plus.
  • Comfortable analyzing large amounts of test and network data to identify failures and trends.
