Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Integration Specialist to design, develop, and deploy integrations using Boomi AtomSphere, connecting cloud-based and on-premise apps to enable seamless data exchange.

You will translate business requirements into technical specs, build Boomi processes, and implement APIs/web services while ensuring data health across the enterprise data platform (Databricks/Azure Data Lake). Strong collaboration with ERP/CRM owners is essential.

Qualifications

  • Proven Boomi AtomSphere experience designing, building, deploying integrations.
  • Strong ELT/data-pipeline understanding and cloud data platform exposure.
  • Familiarity with source-to-target data mapping across ERP/CRM apps.

Responsibilities

This position would work out of Corporate Headquarters in Pasadena, California. Driven by historic growth and an aggressive pipeline of future expansion projects, our Digital Operations team is scaling quickly. The Integration Specialist role is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying integrations using the Boomi AtomSphere platform, connecting cloud-based and on-premises applications to support business operations and strategic initiatives. This position plays a key role in translating business requirements into technical integration solutions, ensuring reliable data exchange between systems, and maintaining the health and performance of integrations across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy integrations using Boomi AtomSphere platform, connecting cloud-based and on-premises applications.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and develop integration solutions accordingly.
  • Build and maintain Boomi processes, maps, and connectors to facilitate data exchange between systems.
  • Implement APIs and web services to support integration initiatives.
  • Perform unit testing, system integration testing, and performance testing to ensure quality and reliability of integrations.
  • Support and develop data ingestion pipelines that move data between source systems and our clients enterprise data platform (Databricks / Azure Data Lake Storage).
  • Coordinate with ERP and CRM system owners (JD Edwards, IFS, Salesforce) to define source/target mappings and ensure reliable, well-governed data exchange.
  • Assist with day-to-day integration monitoring, error handling, and incident response across the Boomi and data-pipeline landscape.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and maintain the health and performance of Boomi integrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., business analysts, application developers) to gather requirements and implement solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest Boomi features and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of integration standards and processes.
  • Make recommendations on how to best use integration resources and build in reliability.

  • Proven experience with Boomi AtomSphere platform, including process building, mapping, and deployment.
  • Understanding of ELT/data-pipeline concepts and how operational integrations feed a cloud data platform.
  • Familiarity with source-to-target data mapping across enterprise business applications.
  • Strong understanding of integration patterns and best practices.
  • Experience with API development and web services (REST, SOAP).
  • Proficiency in data formats such as XML, JSON, CSV.

Education and Experience
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Required: Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Desired: Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Desired: Experience with Databricks (Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, notebooks, and Lakeflow / Delta Live Tables) for data ingestion and transformation.
  • Desired: Familiarity with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2) and medallion (bronze/silver/gold) lakehouse architecture patterns.
  • Desired: Hands-on experience integrating with Salesforce (REST/Bulk APIs, platform events, sandbox-to-production deployment).
  • Desired: Knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (including AIS / orchestration) and the data structures and interfaces used to integrate with it.
  • Desired: Familiarity with IFS and other ERP systems, and the APIs/data formats used to exchange data with them.
