Job summary

UNAVAILABLE is seeking an Integration Architect to lead API and integration initiatives within a DevSecOps practice in the McLean, VA area. The role emphasizes building APIs, microservices, and multi-platform integrations while guiding technical teams and delivering hands-on results.

The candidate will design reusable assets, advise on performance and security, translate requirements, and document integrations for diverse stakeholders across cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Salesforce.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a U.S. government public trust clearance.
• Experience designing and implementing APIs, microservices and integration patterns.
• Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and integration tools.
• Strong understanding of API management, security, and performance considerations.

Overview

As an Integration Architect, you will work with our growing DevSecOps practice developing APIs and integration capabilities to connect data, services, and systems to help our customers achieve their mission. We are looking for candidates with experience building APIs and microservices with cloud platform services, understanding business requirements and implementing complex integrations for data and services. You will act as both technical visionary and be responsible for hands-on delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop APIs, micro-services and integrations using a broad range of software programming tasks to ensure that their systems integrations are functional.
• Design reusable assets, components, standards, frameworks, and processes to support andfacilitateAPI and integration projects.
• Advise technical teams on performance, scalability, reliability, monitoring, and other operational concerns of integration solutions.
• Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate functional and non-functional requirements into integration interfaces and implementations
• Create and provide technical documentation that explains upcoming or existing integrations to non-technical individuals
• Learn and implement technology solutions through multi-platform approaches. (Microsoft, AWS, Salesforce, etc.)
• Document as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations
• Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
• Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
• Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• Identifytechnical problems, perform root cause analysis, and develop software updates and ‘fixes’
• Act as an individual contributor and mentor more junior team members
• Engineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement for the services provided
• Present regular status updates and provide cross training to other team members.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a U.S. government public trust clearance
• BS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a non-IT field and2years related IT experience
• 8 Years of Experience with one or more clouds (i.e.AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• 8 Years of Experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket
• 8 Years of Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages
• 8 Years of Experience with one or more integration technologies, such asMulesoft
• Experience developing API Management solutions and micro-services

Preferred:

• MS Degree in an IT-related field
• Certifications:
  • AWS Solution Architect Professional
  • Azure Developer Associate
  • MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect - Level 1
  • MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect - Level 1
• 5 Years of application development experience in an Agile environment
• Experience implementing docker containers andutilizingplatforms such as Kubernetes
• Experience designing, implementing, and documenting APIs
• ExperienceutilizingCI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Pipelines,CircleCI,TravisCI
• Java Centric experience, specifically around frameworks such as Spring Boot and Camel
• Experience implementing Automated Testing frameworks to test APIs and integrations
