Job summary

UNKNOWN is seeking an Integration Architect to lead API and integration initiatives, delivering data and service integrations across cloud platforms. You will act as a technical visionary and hands-on contributor, shaping reusable assets and standards for API projects.

You will mentor junior engineers and work with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust integration solutions, including API management and microservices, with emphasis on security and scalability.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance
• BS degree in IT or related field with 2 years IT experience (or equivalent)
• 8+ years of experience with one or more cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• 8+ years with Git SCM providers (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
• 8+ years with one or more programming or scripting languages
• 8+ years with integrations technologies—specifically Java integrations libraries such as Apache Camel, Spring Boot, JDBC
• Experience developing API Management solutions and micro-services
• Certifications and advanced IT degrees are preferred

Responsibilities

Overview

As an Integration Architect, you will work with our growing DevSecOps practice developing APIs and integration capabilities to connect data, services, and systems to help our customers achieve their mission. We are looking for candidates with experience building APIs and microservices with cloud platform services, understanding business requirements and implementing complex integrations for data and services. You will act as both technical visionary and be responsible for hands-on delivery.

Responsibilities

• Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers


• Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results


• Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats

• Identify technical problems, perform root cause analysis, and develop software updates and ‘fixes’


• Develop APIs, micro-services and integrations using a broad range of software programming tasks to ensure that their systems integrations are functional.


• Design reusable assets, components, standards, frameworks, and processes to support and facilitate API and integration projects.


• Advise technical teams on performance, scalability, reliability, monitoring, and other operational concerns of integration solutions on Anypoint Platform.


• Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate functional and non-functional requirements into integration interfaces and implementations

• Create and provide technical documentation that explains upcoming or existing integrations to non-technical individuals


• Document as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations


• Act as an individual contributor and mentor more junior team members


• Engineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement for the services provided


• Present regular status updates and provide cross training to other team members.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance


• BS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a non-IT field and 2 years related IT experience


• 8 Years of Experience with one or more clouds (i.e. AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• 8 Years of Experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket


• 8 Years of Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages


• 8 Years if Experience with one or more integrations technologies – specifically, with Java integrations libraries such as Apache Camel, Spring Boot, and JDBC


• Experience developing API Management solutions and micro-services

Preferred:

• MS Degree in an IT-related field


• Certifications:


• AWS Solution Architect Professional


• Azure Developer Associate


• 5 Years of application development experience in an Agile environment


• Experience implementing docker containers and utilizing platforms such as Kubernetes


• Experience designing, implementing, and documenting APIs


• Experience utilizing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Pipelines, CircleCI, TravisCI

• Experience implementing Automated Testing frameworks to test APIs and integrations
