Job summary

First Orion is seeking an Integrations Engineer to lead implementations of our call protection and caller identification solutions. You will research client platforms, define technical visions, and act as the technical owner for projects from discovery through delivery, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable and secure integrations.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of server-side development in a SaaS environment, deep API experience, and strong knowledge of AWS/Azure,

Qualifications

• Experience with REST and SOAP APIs.
• Proficient in Python, JavaScript, JQuery, and C#.
• Experience with AWS and Azure App Services.
• 5+ years of server-side software development and integration in SDLC/Agile.
• Ability to troubleshoot, profile, and tune performance; familiar with security concepts and developer docs.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrations implementations and manage complex changes.
• Research client platforms and integration technologies.
• Serve as technical owner in client communications and project progress.
• Collaborate across Integration, Support, Engineering, and Sales Engineering teams.
• Scope and estimate new projects for existing accounts or new logos.

First Orion protects and enhances the call experience for millions of consumers, provides solutions to some of the largest mobile service providers in the world, and features leading brands in the communication industry.We are looking for an Integrations Engineer who helps lead implementations of First Orion solutions and/or manages complex change that significantly impact an existing solution.What you’ll be doing:Ensure the individualized solution incorporates clients’ and First Orion’s overall business strategy and technical visionResearch calling platforms used by clients to integrate First Orion’s technologiesResearch technologies related to client communication platformsTechnical owner in all solution communications with the client and progress throughout the implementation phaseAssigned to projects for an existing First Orion customer or a new logo, OR assigned to existing First Orion customer requiring on-going solution consulting for customer solution enhancements managementEngage in project communications with the client using a consultative approach. Anticipate obstacles and recommend solution options as it relates to the solution. Focus on client value and satisfaction while balancing corporate objectives, feasibility and scalability of solutionProvide direction with technical and business stakeholder requirements and overall project plan as it relates to the solutionMaintain subject matter expertise in First Orion and industry technologies, verticals, and lines of business to help align client business needs to products, solutions and services offeredIdentify areas of process improvement that drive profit enhancement and client value and instill that mindset while contributing through othersHave a strong understanding of pre-sales process focusing on scoping and estimation and be able to lead scoping and estimation efforts for new projects for existing account/new logoWhat you’ll need:Experience with Rest and Soap APIsExperience with Python, JavaScript, JQuery, and C#Experience with Amazon Web Services and Azure App Services5+ years of on the job hands-on server-side software development and integration experience using Object Oriented methodology in SDLC and Agile MethodologiesAbility to manage the troubleshooting of issues and conduct performance tuning, loggingAbility to troubleshooting and research client issuesFamiliar with general security concepts (authentication, authorization, encryption, digital signatures)Ability to understand and explain Developer Documentation (Swagger, ReadMe)Ability to interact with technical and non-technical customers to explain First Orion TechnologyAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Integration, Support, Engineering, Sales Engineering)Bonus Points:Experience using calling platforms such as Zoom, Five9, Amazon Connect, Genesys, etc.Experience using tools such as Postman, Databricks and ZendeskExperience in the Telecom industryRelational Database experience with strong SQL knowledgeMobile experience with iOS and AndroidExperience with call center operations and IntegrationCompany Benefits:Balancing the work-life flow is key to health and happiness!
