Job description

Alpine Investors is building a bench of integration leaders. This posting isn't tied to one specific company or one open seat — we hire Directors of Integration (and equivalent Manager and VP-level leaders) on an ongoing basis across our newest platforms and our existing portfolio of operating companies (“OpCos”). If you lead integrations today and are open to your next move — now or in the next several months — we want to know you.

Depending on timing and fit, you might join a brand-new platform as its first dedicated integration hire, or step into an established integration function at one of our existing OpCos. Either way, you'd turn deal theses into operating reality: leading post-close integration across people, process, and systems so Day 1 lands cleanly and the business moves forward with minimal disruption to teams and customers.

What You'd Be Doing

  • End-to-end Integration. Own planning and execution from diligence through value realization, with a focused 30-60-90 day plan for each deal.
  • Build trust with founders and leadership. You serve as the face of the business during integration and align stakeholders who don't report to you.
  • Shape diligence — partner with deal and operating leadership to inform post-close plans and quantify value-creation opportunities.
  • Drive cross-functional execution across IT, HR, Finance, and Operations — clarifying owners and removing blockers.
  • Run the Integration Management Office (IMO) — governance, stage gates, risk and issue management, and weekly dashboards.
  • Own the integration KPI dashboard — time-to-system cutover, on-time task completion, stakeholder satisfaction, and synergy capture.
  • Continuously evolve the integration playbook — version-controlled SOPs, templates, and checklists refined after every deal.

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years (Director level, 5+ Manager level) leading M&A integrations, including 3+ years managing complex, cross-functional programs.
  • Experience across the full M&A lifecycle: operational diligence, Day 1 readiness, post-close integration, and value realization.
  • A track record with technology integrations (ERP, HRIS, CRM implementation or remediation).
  • Cross-functional depth in Finance, HR, and IT.
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity and influencing VP+ stakeholders you don't manage.
  • Ideal Background: experience with integrations as a consultant at a consulting firm, combined with hands-on experience doing integrations as an employee within an acquisitive operating business.
  • Industry experience isn't required, but experience working with founders in scrappier companies strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional EQ and communication skills.
  • US based with ability to travel 50% of the time.
