Job description

City of Plano is looking for an integration professional who can work independently while collaborating effectively with a broader project and technology team. The ideal candidate understands that successful enterprise integration requires more than writing code-it requires sound technical judgment, clear communication, thoughtful design, effective documentation, and reliable production support.

My simple interpretation of the role:

  • - this role will support the City's ongoing system integration between different departments at Plano.
  • - the goal of this project is to ensure that data/information is seamlessly transferred between one department to another. Mulesoft is basically the "middle man software" that allows this data transfer to occur.
  • - For example when residents pay their water bills through a portal, the system pushes the payment information via MuleSoft into their financial system.
  • - The ideal candidate must be able to transfer this data but also handle system downtime, catch errors implement retry mechanisms for transactions, ensure transactions are not duplicated and also perform the functional parts of the role (communication and information gathering)
