Job summary

Kratos Defense seeks an Integration/Deployment Engineer to perform ongoing integration, deployment, and transition work in Colorado Springs. The role collaborates with engineering, development, test, and cybersecurity teams to ensure capabilities are deployed into operational environments.

Responsibilities include configuring hardware/software, troubleshooting deployment issues, and producing deployment docs and runbooks. Travel up to four weeks yearly; on-site five days weekly is expected.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of system administrator experience with infrastructure integration.
• BA/BS in IT/Cybersecurity/Space Systems preferred.
• Active Security+ with CE and SECRET clearance capability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Willingness to travel up to four weeks per year and be onsite five days a week.
• Favorable adjudication of TS/SCI to remain in role.

• Install, configure, integrate, and validate new hardware, software, and infrastructure components.
• Perform system integration, troubleshooting, and technical problem resolution during deployment activities.
• Develop and maintain deployment procedures, technical documentation, implementation guides, and runbooks.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Development, Test, Cybersecurity, and Operations to resolve integration issues and deployment risks.
• Support system verification, validation, and operational acceptance testing.
• Recommend improvements to deployment processes, deployment procedures, and technical standards.
• Support customer site installation activities and travel when required.

The Integration/Deployment Engineer is responsible for the technical implementation, integration, testing, deployment, and operational transition of new capabilities supporting modernization initiatives. This position collaborates with Engineering, Development, Test, and Cybersecurity to ensure new capabilities are successfully deployed into operational environments.

Required Experience:

• 2-5 years experiencediengineer with systems administrator experience and strong infrastructure integration ability
• BA/BS degree preferrably iniInformation Technology/Cybersecurity/Space Systems
• Candidates must have at least eight years of experience in space operations/IT/Systems Administration or five years of experience and a bacheloris degree in a relevant field.
• The position requires an active Security+ Certificate with CE and a minimum SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
• The role requires the ability to travel for up to four weeks per year (less than 10% of the time) and be physically present 5 days a week.
• Favorable adjudication of TS/SCI is required to remain in role.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience supporting Department of Defense or other mission-critical systems.
• Experience integrating enterprise hardware, software, and infrastructure.
• VMware or equivalent administration experience.
• Windows Server and Linux system administration.
• Enterprise networking experience (routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, TCP/IP).
• Experience with scripting or automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible.
• Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or containerized applications.
• Experience with system integration, deployment, or technical implementation projects.
• Experience working in classified or air-gapped environments.
• Familiarity with Agile development and DevSecOps practices.

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
