Job description

At ReLogic Research, you will not be just another headcount. We are a tight-knit team of engineers, physicists, and technical professionals solving some of the most complex challenges in national defense and we are looking for a hands-on Integration and Assembly Engineer who thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving development environments where work instructions are incomplete and engineering judgment is required.

As an AS9100D-certified small business supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Missile Defense Agency, we develop and transition advanced missile systems from concept through prototype and flight. This role is central to making that happen - the right candidate will be the engineer who understands the design well enough to oversee production at supplier facilities, coordinate hardware back to our facility, and integrate complex prototype missile components with precision and purpose.

This is not a role for someone who needs a detailed checklist. The right candidate can read a drawing, walk a shop floor, recognize when something is wrong, and then come back and build it correctly.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Travel to and embed at third-party manufacturing facilities to oversee production of critical missile components and assemblies produced at ReLogic's direction
  • Apply engineering judgment to evaluate components against drawings, specifications, and design intent in environments with limited formal work instructions
  • Identify and communicate production issues, non-conformances, or design concerns to the engineering team in real time
  • Coordinate logistics and shipping to transfer completed components from supplier facilities to ReLogic manufacturing operations
  • Receive and inspect incoming components against engineering documentation and quality requirements
  • Lead hands-on assembly and integration of components into missile prototype systems at ReLogic facilities
  • Develop and document assembly procedures, integration notes, and lessons learned to support future builds
  • Collaborate closely with design engineers, analysts, and quality to resolve technical issues encountered during production and integration
Required Qualifications
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing, prototype assembly, or hardware integration
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications
  • Demonstrated engineering judgment and ability to work effectively in development environments with incomplete documentation
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working in manufacturing, supplier, and assembly environments
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently to supplier facilities
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting prototype or first article builds for missile, munitions, or aerospace systems
  • Experience working at or overseeing production at third-party manufacturing or machining facilities
  • Familiarity with missile or aerospace system assembly and integration processes
  • Experience with AS9100D quality management requirements and supplier quality oversight
  • Familiarity with source inspection or supplier surveillance activities
  • Experience supporting developmental hardware programs with limited work instructions
  • Familiarity with hazardous materials handling or energetics safety requirements

This is a full-time salaried position with highly competitive compensation based on experience and skills, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career growth. Approximately 40-50% travel is expected.
