Job summary

PulteGroup is seeking an Integration Architect to define the enterprise integration strategy and provide hands-on leadership for adoption. You will establish reusable patterns, guide modernization, and partner with delivery teams to create secure, scalable integrations across apps, SaaS, data platforms, and partners.

This role involves mentoring architects, aligning solutions with enterprise standards, and driving reuse, observability, and security across the integration ecosystem.

Job Summary:

The Integration Architect defines the enterprise integration strategy and provides hands-on architecture leadership for its adoption. This role establishes reusable patterns and standards, guides platform rationalization and modernization, and partners with delivery teams to create secure, scalable, resilient, and supportable integrations across custom applications, SaaS platforms, COTS products, data platforms, legacy systems, and external partners.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Define and maintain the enterprise integration strategy, reference architectures, standards, reusable patterns, governance, and technology roadmap.
  • Establish decision frameworks for APIs, events, messaging, orchestration, batch processing, file transfer, data synchronization, and hybrid integration.
  • Lead modernization from point-to-point and tightly coupled integrations toward reusable, loosely coupled, cloud-aligned solutions.
  • Define standards for system ownership, service boundaries, data contracts, schemas, versioning, security, interoperability, and lifecycle management.
  • Guide architecture reviews, solution designs, proofs of concept, and technology evaluations for strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with product teams, developers, data teams, infrastructure, security, operations, and vendors to align solutions with enterprise standards.
  • Document key architecture decisions, risks, tradeoffs, roadmaps, and implementation guidance.
  • Mentor architects and engineers and communicate recommendations clearly to technical teams, business stakeholders, and technology leadership.
  • Promote reuse, automation, observability, security, platform rationalization, and continuous improvement across the integration ecosystem.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Focuses on operational plans with short- to mid-term impact on the organization (e.g., 1- 2 years).
  • Directs activities that have significant impact on the achievement of results for the area
  • Recommends and implements new products, processes, policies, standards or operating plans in support of area's strategy and operations.
Leadership & Talent Management:
  • Frequently responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees across the organization within area of expertise.
  • Typically, responsible for managing large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the company, involving large cross-functional teams.
Knowledge & Experience:
  • Requires mastery level knowledge of area , typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • May have deep knowledge of project and program management.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8-10 years of prior relevant experience.
Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience architecting integrations across custom applications, SaaS platforms, COTS products, data platforms, partner ecosystems, cloud services, and on-premises environments.
  • Strong knowledge of API-first design, event-driven architecture, publish/subscribe messaging, asynchronous processing, workflow orchestration, batch and file-based integration, data synchronization, and distributed systems.
