Job summary

Dickinson-Iron Intermediate School District seeks a Transportation & Family Service Coordinator to oversee bus routes, coordinate transportation with a contractor, and support families with service access. This is a full-time, 216-day position based in Kingsford, MI, with competitive wages and full benefits.

The role requires knowledge of transportation systems and state rules, strong communication with parents and staff, and collaboration across Health Services and Family & Community

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate Degree in Health and Human Services, Early Childhood Education or related field, or equivalent experience with coordination of services to children and families.
• Knowledge of transportation systems and applicable rules.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with parents, families, staff and community groups.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation services across departments and with third-party contractors.
• Establish and maintain transportation routes with the Contractor.
• Ensure safety of all children and bus passengers; promote wellness and family engagement.
• Enter and manage child/family information in required data systems; participate in staff meetings and trainings.
