Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking a Software Development and Integration Engineer to support the development, integration, and deployment of software solutions for advanced communications, aerospace, defense, and mission-critical technology programs.

In this role, you will work closely with systems engineers, software developers, and customers to integrate software components into cohesive, high-performance systems that meet operational and technical requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Experience with software integration, DevOps practices, and system integration.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

Define software requirements, architecture concepts, integration strategies, and test plans with customers and engineers.
Integrate software components, firmware, and third-party libraries into operational systems.
Develop and maintain software integration plans and automated deployment processes.
Design automation scripts to improve build, test, deployment, and release workflows.
Maintain software interfaces, dependencies, and configuration requirements.
Configure and maintain development environments, including CI/CD pipelines and source control.
