Job summary

Army National Guard Units in New Jersey seeks a PRIMARY PREVENTION SPECIALIST (PREV WF), GS-0101-11, to implement and support integrated prevention programs across the Wing/Region.

You will coordinate harm and abuse prevention efforts, serve as SME for IPP, liaise with military and civilian agencies, analyze data, train personnel, and promote resiliency through community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Degree in behavioral or social sciences with at least 24 semester hours in those fields.
• Combination of education and experience equivalent to a major in behavioral/social sciences.
• Professional experience demonstrating knowledge of behavioral/social sciences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as point of contact for harm and abuse prevention programs; coordinate IPP activities.
• Manage all aspects of a complex integrated primary prevention program for Wing/Region.
• Coordinate suicide prevention, workplace and domestic violence programs with applicable offices.
• Develop plans to reduce risk factors and promote resiliency within the community.
• Present relevant prevention program data to leadership; brief commanders on IPP activities.
• Recruit, train, and facilitate volunteers for prevention activity implementation.
• Collaborate with internal programs to standardize training and evaluation.
