Job summary

Air National Guard Units in Illinois seeks a PRIMARY PREVENTION SPECIALIST (PREV WF) (TITLE 5) to lead the IPP program for the Wing/Region. You will coordinate prevention activities, serve as a subject-matter expert, and work with community agencies on suicide prevention, workplace, and domestic violence initiatives.

Responsibilities include implementing prevention strategies, analyzing risk factors, and developing Wing-specific policies.

Qualifications

Degree in behavioral or social science with at least 24 semester hours in the behavioral or social sciences.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may apply.

Responsibilities

Serve as the point of contact for harm and abuse prevention programs and activities.
Coordinate prevention programs and provide subject-matter expert guidance.
Manage all aspects of the integrated primary prevention program (IPP) for Wing/Region.
Collaborate with offices and community agencies for suicide prevention and other programs.
Deliver initial prevention activities to mitigate risk factors and promote resiliency.
Provide training and advisory services to service members and community partners.
Develop plans and conduct SWOT analyses to guide implementation.
Interpret policies to develop Wing/Region specific plans.
