Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Little Rock, AR seeks a Pest Controller to plan, implement, and maintain the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program at the Eugene J. Towbin Healthcare Center.

You will spray chemical solutions and set traps to eliminate pests including rats, termites, snakes, bed bugs, and insects near surfaces. The role requires completing pest control duties safely, reading labels, maintaining records, and working Monday to Friday 7:00am–3:30pm.

Qualifications

• Certification required: Pest Controller Certification from the state of Arkansas is required.
• Physical requirements include lifting weights and working with protective PPE; safety procedures must be followed.

Responsibilities

• Maintains treatment records and library of pest control information.
• Applies insecticides and pesticides using appropriate equipment for targeted pests.
• Sprays chemical solutions, powders, and gases on or near surfaces to eliminate pests.
• Identify invading pests including rats, termites, snakes, wasps, ants, spiders, mosquitos, or bed bugs.
• Set mechanical traps and place bait; remove dead rodents after extermination.
