Responsibilities

• Learn how payment terminals, POS systems, apps, APIs, and SDKs work together.
• Shadow Integration Team members and exposure to real-world software deployments.
• Explore PAX products, docs, and integration workflows.
• Collaborate with teams across Integration and other groups such as Software, QA, Product Management, Technical Support, and Sales Engineering.
• Identify a technical, documentation, knowledge-management, or process improvement opportunity.
• Develop a project proposal based on observations.
• Design and build a proof of concept, automation, workflow improvement, or other solution.
• Test your solution, gather feedback, and make improvements.
• Document your work and recommendations.
• Present your completed project and findings to PAX team members.

Integration Technology & Process Improvement Internship Summary:

We’re looking for a motivated and curious intern to join our Integration Team. This internship provides hands-on exposure to the technology behind modern payment systems, including point-of-sale (POS) systems, payment terminals, software applications, APIs, SDKs, and the tools that connect them. Programming or scripting experience is helpful for some projects but is not required for every project.

As an Integration Technology & Process Improvement Intern, you will:

• • Learn how payment terminals, POS systems, payment applications, processors, APIs, and SDKs work together.
• • Shadow Integration Team members and gain exposure to real-world software implementations and technical troubleshooting.
• • Explore PAX products, technical documentation, development resources, and integration workflows.
• • Collaborate with professionals across Integration and potentially other teams such as Software Development, QA, Product Management, Technical Support, and Sales Engineering.
• • Identify a technical, documentation, knowledge-management, or process improvement opportunity.
• • Develop a project proposal based on your observations.
• • Design and build a proof of concept, automation, workflow improvement, technical resource, or other solution.
• • Explore the use of PAX-approved AI and automation technologies where appropriate.
• • Test your solution, gather feedback, and make improvements.
• • Document your work and recommendations.
• • Present your completed project and findings to PAX team members.
