Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing, or related discipline.
  • Experience developing written communications for leadership and diverse stakeholder audiences.
  • Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders to develop and execute communications plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple communications projects in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end alignment and execution of integrated communications plans across all Mission Systems and SPC programs.
  • Manage development and coordination of communications deliverables to ensure consistency in messaging, branding, accuracy and timing.
  • Maintain a unified communications calendar and track milestones, deliverables and deadlines across the portfolio.
  • Identify and elevate schedule conflicts, bottlenecks and execution risks to the S&GS Communications Senior Manager.
  • Ensure all communications activities comply with classification, export control, and corporate policy requirements.
  • Lead executive communications support for the Vice President, Mission Systems, including speeches, talking points, presentations, event support and internal communications.
  • Develop messaging for diverse audiences, including senior leadership, customers, employees and media.
  • Establish and monitor communications performance metrics, including reach, engagement, sentiment and media pickup.
  • Produce communications performance reports for senior leadership with outcomes, gaps and recommendations.

The successful candidate will bring strong writing, coordination and strategic planning skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role offers broad visibility across leadership, program and functional stakeholders and is positioned to play a key role in driving consistency, compliance and continuous improvement across the Mission Systems and SPC communications team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recommend and help implement process improvements, tools and training to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the Mission Systems & SPC communications team

MUST BE A US CITIZEN-This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
  • Demonstrated experience in communications, public relations, corporate communications, executive communications, or a related field
  • Experience developing written communications materials for leadership and diverse stakeholder audiences
  • Experience managing multiple communications projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including editing, message development, and presentation support
  • Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders to develop and execute communications plans
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and apply sound judgement in a professional environment
Desired Skills
  • Experience supporting executive communications for senior leaders
  • Experience developing or executing integrated communications strategies across internal and external channels
  • Familiarity with communications performance measurement and reporting, including use of KPIs and analytics
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment with an understanding of compliance considerations such as classification, export control, and corporate policy review
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage calendars, deadlines, and competing priorities across a large portfolio
  • Ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, audience-appropriate messaging
  • Experience identifying process improvements and implementing tools or workflows to improve team efficiency

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $72500.00 - $134600.00
