Under close supervision, you will gain hands-on experience supporting transportation brokerage operations and learn how market dynamics, carrier negotiations, and load management tools drive efficiency and margins. This part-time internship requires enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program and a 40-hour workweek during the summer.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program OR graduate degree program in good standing at an accredited community college, college or university.
• Must be able to work 40 hours a week during the summer.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
• Willingness to work flexible hours
• Junior or Senior level preferred.
• This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.

• Observe and practice serving as a liaison between internal stakeholders and carriers: gain competence in how service failures are proactively communicated to minimize cost and operational inefficiencies while providing best-in-class service
• Learn about the technology and tools J.B. Hunt leverages to streamline workflows, enable carrier access to load management, and promote efficiency

Compensation

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
