Job summary

Denver Health is seeking a Psychologist to join the CHS Behavioral Health team as a Behavioral Health Consultant. You will provide doctoral-level integrated behavioral health services within Ambulatory Care Services, focusing on brief, evidence-based interventions and collaboration with the primary care medical team.

The role includes case management, crisis intervention, supervision of trainees, and participation in quality improvement and research projects across multiple clinics.

Qualifications

• Interdisciplinary teamwork within a medical setting.
• Proficiency in Motivational Interviewing techniques.

• Familiarity with evidence-based behavioral health modalities.
• Ability to provide brief, targeted psychological interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality clinical services to individuals referred to behavioral health.
• Tailor services to patient age and developmental level.
• Consult with providers as part of the interdisciplinary team; generate referrals and case management.
• Conduct brief diagnostic screening using evidence-based tools.
• Deliver health behavior change interventions using Motivational Interviewing.
• Perform in-depth diagnostic assessment when needed.
• Prepare timely documentation in the medical record.
• Participate in team meetings and interdisciplinary huddles.
