Job summary

Metropolitan Center for Mental Health (MCMH) seeks a Behavioral Health Clinician to join an integrated care team providing evidence-based care for mental health and substance use needs in NY. The role emphasizes whole-person care within NYS CCBHC model, collaborating with care managers and other professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Under supervision, you will perform assessments, treatment planning, counseling, and crisis intervention, managing a caseload of about 30–32 patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of direct psychotherapy with adults, children, adolescents, and families.
• Experience in settings with both mental health and substance use treatment preferred.
• Knowledge of NYS CCBHC model and whole-person care principles.
• Familiarity with OMH Part 599 and OASAS Part 822 regulations.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for adults and/or children and evidence-based screenings for substance use and mental health.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 30 to 32 patients.
• Develop and monitor integrated, person-centered treatment plans with the multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with care managers, peer specialists, and other providers to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR for all services rendered.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Attend weekly supervision and participate in team meetings.
