Job summary

Boeing is seeking an Inspector Integral Fuel Cells to join the Quality team in Everett and Renton, Washington. You will inspect cleaning, sealing, coatings, and perform leak checks to ensure components meet strict specs and safety standards.

Work requires entering confined spaces (9.5 x 17.7 inches) and using precision measurement tools, collaborating with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to drive defect reduction and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Quality Inspector or in a related inspection role.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and perform Fall Protection training.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Inspect preparatory cleaning, sealant application, protective coatings, and leak-detection coatings.
• Perform and witness leak checks and evaluate repairs.
• Inspect final assemblies for workmanship and conformance to drawings.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to reduce defects.
• Document nonconforming materials and materials deviations.
• Conduct audits of manufacturing and QA processes for compliance.
• Use precision instruments and shop math to verify part quality.
• Review manufacturing plans for completeness and accuracy.
• Conduct in-process inspections including torque checks.
• Document discrepancies and report for resolution.
• Verify proper cleaning and sealant/finish applications.
• Witness functional tests and record test results.
• Shakedown inspections prior to customer acceptance.
• Maintain personal and tool certifications and train others.
