The mission of healthRIGHT360 is to give people in need a chance for hope, change, and the tools to build a better life. We do this by providing compassionate integrated care that includes primary medical, mental health, and substance use disorder treatment.

Intake Coordinator II will work in a collaborative environment to connect clients to the level of treatment they need while managing a small caseload of individual clients or facilitating group treatments. Many of our clients have backgrounds in the criminal justice system, are chronically homeless, and/or otherwise economically disenfranchised. Therefore, the Intake Coordinator II must show flexibility to meet the changing needs of our programs, tolerate working in a fast-paced, variable environment, and assess clients for harm to self and others, diagnosing and treating clients with co-occurring disorders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide mental health/level of care assessments and diagnoses for adults seeking residential services.
• Consult regularly with the Director to ensure clients meet criteria for safe admission to appropriate residential care levels.
• Provide crisis intervention and referrals to higher levels of care as necessary.
• Perform mental health assessments at San Francisco County Jail sites with inmates seeking residential treatment upon release.
• Manage a small caseload of individual therapy clients or facilitate group therapy sessions.
• Provide thorough documentation of all services in compliance with regulations, contracts, and standards.
• Persist in problem-solving efforts despite internal barriers; take responsibility for customer service outcomes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Required Education, Certification, and Experience:

• Board Registered or Licensed as an LMFT/MFTI, LCSW/ASW, or Psychologist/Registered Psychologist.
• Minimum of two years of experience in dual diagnosis substance abuse treatment in inpatient or outpatient mental health settings.
• Experience conducting mental health assessments and providing diagnoses.
• Experience with Medi-Cal procedures related to mental health.
• Proven ability in clinical documentation, timely record keeping, and dual entry in EHR systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass an agency driving test for off-site visits.

Knowledge Desired:

• Familiarity with Drug-Medical and ASAM Criteria.
• Familiarity with AVATAR.
• Strong understanding of ICD-10/DSM V diagnostic criteria for mental disorders.

Skills and Abilities Required:

• Ability to accurately enter data into electronic systems while maintaining data integrity.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Outlook, and internet applications.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations while withholding judgment.
• Willingness to learn and understand different perspectives.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
• Excellent communication skills.
