Summary

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing direct supervision to clinical staff within the division’s Behavioral Health Clinics. The Clinical Supervisor ensures clinical and administrative practices of individual clinicians meet agency expectations.

Essential Functions:

• Provide clinical supervision to assigned clinicians ensuring client care is consistent with standards of best practice and meets principles of social work/counseling practice.
• Provide training to clinicians and interns in the Behavioral Health Division on policies, procedures, and application of clinical best practices.
• Maintain clinical supervision logs to ensure appropriate clinical supervision is provided; conduct chart reviews to assess clinician practice and track and trend patterns of non-compliance with best practice standards; discuss findings and provide training to address identified clinical practice challenges.
• Provide consultation and support to staff, offer case conferences as needed including being available for staff to debrief about difficult client situations.
• Cooperate and assist with incident management requirements, UR/UM and other quality assurance and CQI expectations.
• Assist Program leadership to meet program goals and objectives.
• Maintain an open and active caseload (number of clients determined with supervisor) and meet productivity and practice expectations. Provide “Open Access” and intake coverage, as assigned.
• Supervise and participate in the student intern program, as applicable.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Program/Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the agency policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, rewarding, disciplining employees, performance reviews, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
• 5 years of social work experience.
• Strong management and leadership skills.
• Aptitude for training staff.
• Bilingual in one or more of the following: Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Bengali and others, may be required depending on client needs.
