Job summary

Celerity Staffing is seeking a remote Specialty Pharmacy Support professional to enroll patients, maintain records, and enter prescription information into pharmacy software. You will communicate with patients, prescribers, and providers, and may help coordinate prior authorizations.

Under supervision of the Associate Manager, you’ll support with care management, billing, and coordination with providers while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• National CPhT certification and/or state licensure as required by your state of residence.
• At least two years of pharmacy support or healthcare experience preferred.
• Availability for scheduled shifts, which may vary by department needs. Operating hours: Monday–Thursday, 8 a.m.–7 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m.–6 p.m.
• Participate in and support the compliance program.
• Work cooperatively and respectfully with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Call new and existing patients and answer calls from patients, prescribers, and healthcare professionals.
• Enroll patients in specialty services, including care management, copay assistance, and billing.
• Contact providers by phone, fax, or other channels to obtain needed information.
• Manage assigned workflow queues.
• Document patient information thoroughly and accurately set up prescription orders.
• Follow all applicable federal and state laws and uphold high ethical standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REMOTE OPPORTUNITY!

Under the direction of the Associate Manager, Patient Support Services, and Specialty Pharmacy pharmacists, you’ll enroll patients, maintain complete records, and enter prescription information into pharmacy software.

Records include demographics, allergies, medication history, comorbidities, and payer information. You’ll communicate with patients and providers and may help providers and insurers coordinate prior authorizations. A Specialty Pharmacist verifies prescription entries. You’ll also assist with pharmacy technician duties in other areas as needed.
