Job summary

Hendricks Behavioral Hospital in Plainfield, IN is seeking a Weekend Warrior Intake Assessment RN for a full-time overnight weekend shift (Fri–Sun, 7:00pm–7:30am) with shift differential and weekend pay. You will document inquiries, assess patients, and assist the on-call doctor with interviews, ensuring proper admissions and paperwork.

Required is a four-year nursing degree and Indiana RN licensure. Psychiatric intake experience is preferred, with familiarity in DSM and related assessments.

Qualifications

• RN license in Indiana is required.
• Experience in intake assessment in acute psychiatric setting preferred.
• Knowledge of DSM, Mental Status Exam, and Addiction/Recovery fields helpful.

Weekend Warrior Intake Assessment RN

Responsibilities

• Document and process inquiry calls according to Intake policies.
• Assess and stabilize patients before discharge or arrange hospital admission.
• Notify and assist the on‑call doctor with patient interviews.
• Obtain administrative approval for all admissions.
• Complete admission paperwork following hospital policy.
• Maintain an intake log with all necessary information documented.
• Make follow‑up calls to patients who fail to show up for appointments.
• Demonstrate guest relations by example and provide counseling to employees in need of training.

Qualifications

• Four‑year nursing degree from an accredited school.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Indiana.
• Experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting (preferred).
• Working knowledge of the latest DSM, Mental Status Exam, and the Addiction and Recovery field.

Compensation: $36.00–$48.00 hourly.
