Job summary

Carolina Dunes Behavioral Health is seeking an Intake RN to manage patient admissions at our Leland, NC facility. The role requires evaluating patients, coordinating with clinicians, and verifying insurance while supporting call-center operations.

Schedule is 10am–10pm, 6 days on/7 days off. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered along with a competitive benefits package. Must hold NC RN license; BSN preferred with experience in mental health admissions.

Qualifications

• RN license to practice in NC; BSN preferred
• 1+ year in mental health admissions preferred
• Experience with intake assessments and insurance verification

Responsibilities

• Facilitates admissions and assessments for incoming patients.
• Performs initial evaluations and documents symptoms, functioning and needs.
• Coordinates with medical and psychiatric staff to ensure appropriate admissions and care levels.
• Supports Call Center Team during high volume and processes admission requests, insurance verification, and pre-certifications.
• Ensures all admission documentation is completed and orders/DSM-V diagnoses are obtained as needed.
