Job summary

Armor Health seeks an Intake Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Bell County Jail in Belton, TX. The RN will provide holistic nursing care, assess patients, document triage decisions, and develop care plans in a correctional setting.

Experience with electronic medical records is required and a Level 2 background check and drug screen must be passed. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental and vision coverage, retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, and paid time

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• CPR certification
• Proficient with electronic medical records
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance including background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting
• Assess physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients; obtain health history and provide written admission assessment
• Document and communicate triage decisions during custody and upon discharge
• Develop individual nursing care plans with health care providers
• Implement medical care plans including diagnostic tests and EKGs
• Administer medications using proper techniques and routes; manage nutrition and therapeutic diets
• Assist physician in medical or minor surgical procedures as necessary

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic (RN) nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assess physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients; obtain health history and provide a written assessment of patients upon admission.
• During custody and upon discharge, document and communicate triage decisions to the appropriate health care provider.
• Develop individual nursing care plans using nursing assessment protocols in consultation with health care providers.
• Implement medical care plans to include diagnostic tests, EKGs, etc., according to physician orders.
• Administer medications using proper techniques, procedures, and approved routes of administration; nutrition and therapeutic diet plans.
• Assist physician in medical or minor surgical procedures as necessary.

Qualifications
