Job summary

KabaFusion is seeking an Intake Representative (Acute) in Carmel, IN to process referrals and initiate patient care. You will verify insurance, obtain authorizations, and complete start of care paperwork, ensuring accurate data flow and timely service initiation.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of intake experience. You will collaborate across departments to support compassionate, high-quality patient care and financial accuracy.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HCPCS, ICD-10 and CPT codes.
• 2+ years intake experience including eligibility and authorization.
• Ability to verify insurance and obtain authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Initiates intake process by gathering relevant data from referral sources.
• Verifies insurance and eligibility and obtains authorizations when necessary.
• Completes start of care paperwork associated with intake.
• Contacts patients to confirm information and communicate financial obligations.

About the role:

As an Intake Representatives at KabaFusion, you are responsible for processing referrals and getting patients on service. This will include commercial, private and government insurances for patients receiving acute therapies; consisting of TPN (total parenteral nutrition), IV Antibiotics, and inotropic medications. You will work collaboratively with other departments to ensure we are providing an exceptional level of patient care with each interaction.

• Initiates intake process gathers relevant data from referral sources and completes intake paperwork.
• Verify insurance and eligibility along with obtaining authorizations when necessary.
• Completes start of care paperwork.
• Contact patients to confirm information and notify them of their financial obligation.

As an Intake Coordinator, you bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent
