Arch Vista seeks an Admissions/Intake Coordinator to support a comprehensive behavioral health program in Missouri. You will handle intake, screen referrals, verify insurance, and coordinate patient placement with clinical teams on a 12-hour shift schedule.

This on-site role emphasizes HIPAA-compliant documentation and crisis response. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s in social work, psychology, counseling, or RN license, plus experience in behavioral health intake/admissions.

Responsabilidades

• Department Oversight: assists the director in managing the intake/admissions team, workflow procedures, census records, and inquiry logs.
• Screening & assessment: primary contact for inquiries, self-referrals, or transfers; screen callers for clinical fit, urgency, and level of care.
• Insurance & financial verification: coordinates benefits verification, pre-authorizations, and billing documentation with insurers.
• Clinical handoffs: gather medical, psychiatric, and social history; coordinate with clinicians to match patients with the right provider.
• Crisis & emergency handling: manage high-stress crisis calls per protocols and safety guidelines.
• Compliance & documentation: ensure EHR entries and patient data comply with HIPAA and facility standards.

Duties:

• Department Oversight: Assists the director or supervisor in managing the intake/admissions team, workflow procedures, daily census records, and inquiry logs
• Patient Screening & Assessment: Serves as the primary point of contact for incoming inquiries, self-referrals, or partner hospital/agency transfers, screening callers for clinical fit, urgency, and appropriate level of care
• Insurance & Financial Verification: Coordinates benefits verification, pre-authorizations, and financial/billing documentation with insurance providers
• Clinical Handoffs: Gather initial medical, psychiatric, and social history, then coordinates with clinicians or the admissions director to match patients with the right provider or treatment program
• Crisis & Emergency Handling: Manages high-stress or urgent crisis calls following facility protocols and safety guidelines
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensures all Electronic Health Record (EHR) entries, consent forms, and patient data comply with HIPAA and facility standards

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's or master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field, or an RN license
• Experience: Prior background in behavioral health intake, admissions, or patient access management
