Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Social Work or Sociology/related field with 12 credits in social sciences or equivalent
• Two years of paid social services employment or 6 months as GPS Specialist
• Degree must be from an accredited college/university

Responsibilities

• Assess situation to determine risk and plan interventions
• Investigate cases of suspected child abuse and document findings
• Prepare and maintain reports/records and court-related materials
• Provide referrals and coordinate services with community resources
• Testify in court when required
• Maintain records and coordinate with law enforcement and other agencies
