Job summary

Center for Justice Innovation is seeking an Intake Specialist in Midtown Manhattan to engage Project Reset-eligible individuals and coordinate pre-arraignment diversion programming. The role involves intakes, assessments, scheduling, and collaboration with the District Attorney’s Office, courts, and social service partners.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in social services or criminal justice, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with 2–3 years’ experience in social services/criminal justice.
• Experience in a court or criminal justice setting is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first contact for Project Reset-eligible individuals and their counsel.
• Conduct intakes, assessments, and schedule programming; update compliance.
• Coordinate diversion operations and liaise with court staff and partners.
• Build relationships with social service providers and sustain outreach.
• Maintain records in case management systems and prepare outreach materials.
