Job summary

Burke in Lufkin, TX is seeking a compassionate Therapist to join the Centralized Intake team. You will perform diagnostic evaluations, intake assessments, and emergency mental health assessments for individuals across Burke's 11-county service area, determining eligibility and referrals.

Travel may be required and you will coordinate care under the Centralized Intake Service Director, working with clinical staff to connect individuals with appropriate services in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• A master's degree in a mental health field is required.
• Current Texas licensure as LPC/LMFT/LCSW/psychologist is required.
• Valid Texas driver's license and insurable driving record are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic evaluations and intake assessments to determine eligibility for Burke services or referrals.
• Perform emergency mental health assessments to assess crisis intervention needs or inpatient care.
• Complete required clinical assessments and ensure timely documentation.
• Coordinate scheduling, triage, and disposition of assessments with service directors and coordinators.
• Collaborate with clinical staff and community providers to support referrals and continuity of care.
