Job summary

Spring Mountain Treatment Center is seeking a PRN Intake Counselor & Mobile Assessor to support admissions and assessments for adults, teens and children in an inpatient setting. You will manage inquiries, referrals and pre-authorization, ensuring the right level of care.

The role involves travel to hospitals, six-hour on-call shifts with $50 on-call pay and $100 per completed assessment, plus competitive benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in psychology, social work or health/counseling field.
• Three years of experience in a clinical setting or admission experience.
• Marketing and sales abilities and ability to complete clinical assessments.
• Knowledge of hospital rules, regulations and policy and procedures.
• Strong reading, writing and speaking communication skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate admissions and assessment processes for incoming patients.
• Respond to inquiries about the facility within policy timeframes.
• Schedule/complete pre-admission assessments and communicate recommendations.
• Collaborate with medical and psychiatric staff to ensure appropriate admissions.
• Coordinate admission and transfer between levels of care.
• Perform insurance benefit verifications and disseminate information.
• Obtain initial pre-authorization for treatment and admission.
• Provide ongoing assessment of patient status in admissions.
• Travel to different hospitals and facilities around the valley.
• Other duties as assigned.
