Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems is seeking an Intake Counselor at Indian Creek Correctional Center in Chesapeake, VA. The role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, developing treatment plans, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team in a secure environment.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, first shift, with a pay range of $24.04–$25.00 per hour plus benefits. A HS diploma/GED is required, with a bachelor’s degree preferred; prior records management or correctional experience

Qualifications

• No formal certification required.
• Minimum of HS Diploma/GED.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in administrative and records management is a plus.
• Experience working within a correctional or secure environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and individual treatment plans within established time frames and with input from the client and multi-disciplinary team.
• Meeting with participant’s primary Counselor to review intake and initial treatment plan information within designated time frame.
• Correcting all documentation deficiencies in established time frames as directed by the Clinical Supervisor.
• Assisting the Clinical Supervisors with weekly chart audits and discharge planning.
• File room upkeep and maintaining clinical records in accordance with all regulatory, contractual, and Spectrum standards.
• Addressing program participant issues, concerns, and inappropriate behaviors promptly and in accordance with Spectrum’s clinical design.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm OR 7:45 am – 4:45 pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.

Pay Rate: $24.04-$25.00/hour
