Job summary

Seneca in Salinas, CA is seeking an Intake Coordinator to connect youth and families with STEP services. You will review referrals, screen eligibility, and coordinate with families and county partners to initiate services quickly.

STEP provides intensive, day treatment for ages 12-17, averaging 15 days, and aims to reintegrate youth into schools with minimal outpatient treatment. The role is hybrid with in-person requirements and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in an office setting.
• Excellent phone and people skills
• Strong organization and communication skill
• Detail oriented, organized, and ability to multi-task and prioritize project
• Proficient in MS Office suit
• At least 21 years of age
• TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirement

Responsibilities

• Review referrals and screen youth for eligibility for the STEP program
• Provide families, referral partners, and community providers with clear information about STEP services and the intake process
• Coordinate the intake process with youth, families, county partners, and other community providers
• Collaborate with the management team to assign referrals to therapists and initiate services within required timelines
• Connect youth and families with appropriate community programs and resources when STEP is not the right fit
• Maintain accurate intake information and track referrals across Seneca and county databases within required timelines
• Prepare periodic and special intake reports to support program operations and referral tracking
• Collaborate with community partners and participate in outreach events to increase awareness of STEP and generate referrals
