Job summary

The Regional Center of the East Bay is seeking a supervisor for intake and assessment to oversee the intake coordinators, ensure accurate data handling, and support HIPAA compliance. This role reports to the Manager, Administrative Services and drives day-to-day workflow.

Minimum qualifications include a BA/BS in human services or related field with supervisory experience, fluency in English (plus a preferred second language), and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree in human services or related field OR BA/BS in an unrelated human services field plus 2 years of experience providing similar functions in a human services agency.
  • Staff supervision including performance evaluation preferred.
  • Fluency in English and one of the following languages preferred: Spanish, Korean, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Cantonese or Mandarin.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Preferred certifications: MOS Excel Expert and MOS Word Expert.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, plan, and coordinate workflow.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail a must.
  • Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity and an ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor staff workload; coordinate completion of required assignments; monitor whether staff are meeting requirements.
  • Research, gather, analyze and report statistical data.
  • Provide technical support to staff, as required.
  • Support Intake Coordinator team with workflow and day-to-day tasks.
  • Responsible for overseeing closed/inactive/reactivated cases and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure data entries are accurate
  • Responsible for overseeing implementation of new software for the intake and assessment team.
  • Safeguarding client records and ensuring that everyone complies with HIPAA rules and regulations
  • May act as point of contact for manager on a as needed basis.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

REPORTS TO: Manager, Administrative Services

The Regional Centerof the East Bay (RCEB) is one of 21 Regional Centers that are community-based, private non-profit corporations under contract with the California Department of Developmental Services. RCEBprovides intake, assessment, diagnosis, and coordinates community-based services for over 25,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities in Alameda and Contra Costa counties.

SPECIFIC DUTIES.

Under general direction, provides supervision to assigned staff. Coordinates day-to-day workflow of intake coordinators to meet Intake and Assessment requirements and department’s objectives. Responsibilities includes but are not limited to:
