Job summary

The Legal Aid Society seeks an intake coordinator to support referrals to the Immigration Law Unit and manage initial client communications. You will provide administrative support for client-facing work and ensure referrals are handled promptly and accurately.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, compassionate, and comfortable in a fast-paced, diverse environment. This role involves data entry, deadline tracking, and maintaining confidentiality in a legally sensitive setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 4+ years of post-secondary education or work experience.
• Excellent computer skills including Office 365 and all Microsoft Office programs.
• Previous administrative experience; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intake processes and referrals to the Unit.
• Collect and maintain accurate demographic, procedural, and case-related information.
• Enter intake data in the case-management system and track deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality and data-security standards at all times.
• Communicate clearly with clients and referring entities about next steps and documents.
