Job summary

Tanner Health is seeking a coordinator for weekend coverage (Friday–Monday) to manage telephone referrals and arrange initial in-home assessments for home health patients. This individual will be the first point of contact for the agencies and will be responsible for communicating and coordinating patient care with hospitals, physician offices, and other referral sources.

Education

One year of related experience. Requires a working knowledge of standard practices and procedures.

Qualifications

• Good organizational skills are required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Must have proficient computer skills. Experience with Maestro and Meditech clinical application systems preferred. Prefer a minimum of two years of experience working in healthcare with knowledge of in-take and patient scheduling and insurance verification.
• Will consider GED with 1+ years of vocational school and 1+ years of medical office experience.
