Job summary

Loyd J Bourgeois Injury & Accident Lawyer in Louisiana is seeking an Intake Coordinator to be the first voice potential clients hear and to shape their experience with our firm.

The role requires empathetic communication, data gathering, and managing a high volume of calls in an in-office setting, with opportunities for growth and a supportive team.

Experience in intake, customer service, and familiarity with Filevine or similar software is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a customer-facing, intake, call center, client coordination, or customer service role
• Exceptional verbal communication skills and the ability to confidently guide conversations
• Comfortable asking direct questions and gathering sensitive information in a professional manner
• Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
• Ability to multitask and manage a high volume of calls in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to working in an in-office setting
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment
• Comfortable learning and utilizing technology platforms and software systems

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients, handling calls with professionalism, empathy, and confidence
• Gather complete intake information, including injury details, accident circumstances, and insurance information
• Navigate conversations effectively to uncover potential injury claims, even when callers initially focus on other concerns
• Evaluate case viability and follow established intake procedures to sign, defer, or decline matters appropriately
• Sign cases with significant injuries for further investigation, even when liability questions remain
• Manage difficult, emotional, or resistant callers with professionalism and sound judgment
• Accurately document intake information within Filevine and maintain clean, organized records
• Conduct follow-up outreach with leads and track status updates throughout the intake process
• Coordinate with the case management team to ensure a smooth transition after a case is signed
• Maintain a working knowledge of the firm's practice areas and case criteria to answer questions confidently
