Insurance Claim HQ in Metairie, LA seeks an on-site Intake Attorney for a full-time role. You will handle initial client contacts, conduct concise intake calls, and ensure proper execution before countersigning engagements. Expect a fast-paced environment with evenings/weekends on-call rotation.

Requirements include an active US law license, proximity to the Metairie office, and excellent people skills. Spanish fluency is a plus as many calls involve Spanish-speaking clients.

Qualifications

• Active law license in good standing in any US state.
• Commute within reach of Metairie, LA; on-site for 90 days with hybrid later.
• Excellent phone presence and people skills.
• Ability to handle intake calls at pace; afternoon/evening peaks.
• Strong ethical instincts and sound judgment.
• Spanish fluency is a significant plus.
• Willingness to take turn in on-call rotation including evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for VIP referral-source clients and answer promptly.
• Run brief intake calls, introduce the firm, explain processes, and answer questions.
• Ensure client consent and signature timing before countersignature.
• Provide attorney-level judgment to the intake team on questions that arise.
• Handover new matters to intake, case-management, and handling attorney.
• Maintain warmth, empathy, and professionalism on every call.
