Job summary

Wintermeyer Ventures seeks an attorney to join its plaintiff-side personal injury team as the first attorney touchpoint for prospective clients in Los Angeles, CA. You will evaluate cases, guide the intake team, and help clients decide on representation, with a focus on high-volume client management and strategic case assessment.

You will lead a team of 6–7 intake specialists, applying injury litigation knowledge and cross-functional collaboration to improve intake processes and achieve sign-up

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing and a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• 1 to 9 years of personal injury or civil litigation experience with strong PI background.
• Spanish fluency and client-first communication style required.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

About the Role

Join a plaintiff-side personal injury team as its first attorney touchpoint for prospective clients. You will evaluate complex cases, guide the intake team, and help prospective clients make informed decisions about representation.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate personal injury cases, primarily motor vehicle accident matters, and assess their viability using attorney-level judgment.
• Speak with prospective clients, explain their legal options, and support them through the decision to retain the firm.
• Manage and mentor a team of 6 to 7 intake specialists, answering questions and supporting sound case decisions.
• Apply personal injury litigation knowledge to assess case value and potential outcomes from the initial intake stage.
• Work with firm leadership and cross-functional colleagues to improve intake processes and meet sign-up goals.

What We're Looking For

• Active California Bar license in good standing and a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• 1 to 9 years of personal injury or civil litigation experience, with a strong personal injury background; pre-litigation experience with interest in transitioning to litigation is also considered.
• Knowledge of statutes of limitations, liability theories, damages valuation, case strategy, and high-volume client management.
• Experience with depositions, motion practice, case strategy, or readiness to grow into full litigation; negotiation experience with insurance adjusters or opposing counsel is valuable.
• Spanish fluency and a warm, client-first communication style are required.
• Comfort with case management software, RingCentral, Apple and Mac environments, and AI tools.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $130,000 to $180,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

Full-time, on-site role in Los Angeles, California. Remote work is not available.
