Job summary

Providence Home Services Oregon is seeking an Intake Specialist to serve as the primary access point for Home Health Services. You will initiate and coordinate referrals, gather necessary information, enter details into the EMR, verify patient data and initial HH eligibility, and schedule admissions.

Qualifications

• Educational coursework in medical terminology or equivalent experience.
• Background checks in accordance with Providence Health and Services-OR HR policy #302.
• 2 years experience in customer service including demonstrated computer proficiency.
• Preferred: 1 year experience in a clinical setting or home services.

The Intake Specialist serves as the main access point for Home Health Services. This position is responsible for initiating and coordinating Home Health referrals, gathering all necessary referral and payor information and then inputting into EMR, verifying patient information and initial HH eligibility with patient and referral source, and coordinating and scheduling date for HH admission. This position ensures that information obtained at time of referral is accurate and complete. This position represents Home Health to customers and patients effectively promotes Home Services and products.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Educational coursework in medical terminology Or equivalent educ/experience
• Upon hire: In compliance with the Providence Health and Services-OR Human Resources policy #302 Background Checks, a criminal background check is required for this position, based on assigned duties.
• 2 years Experience in customer service including demonstrated computer proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year Experience in a clinical setting or home services.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $22.44 - $34.33
