Job summary

Alabama Clinical Schools is seeking an Intake Coordinator/Marketing to manage the patient intake process and intake calls, while developing relationships with referral sources. The role includes reporting data to the QMC committee and coordinating information with physicians and staff.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in a clinical field and several years of mental health experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to navigate a complex referral network.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling or social work plus at least five years of experience in the mental health field.
• Three years of clinical experience in a psychiatric setting with situational evaluation and crisis intervention.
• Licensure in the field (e.g., LCSW, LPC) is preferable but not required.
• Thorough knowledge of emotional disturbances, DSM-V-R diagnosis, and ability to quickly assess residents for risk to themselves and others.
• Must pass background screening and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Manage the patient intake process and all intake calls.
• Provide information to individuals, agencies, facilities, and professional staff regarding potential admissions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with ongoing referral sources and report data to the QMC committee.
