Job summary

Canyon Creek Behavioral Health, a 102-bed acute care psychiatric hospital in Temple, Texas, seeks a detail-oriented verifier to process insurance verifications on inquiries and referrals. You will coordinate admission verifications into the hospital patient accounting system and support financial workflow between admissions and the business office.

The role requires at least two years in a healthcare business-office setting and a high school diploma; some college in healthcare or business fields

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Preferred: Some college or degree from an accredited college or university in healthcare or business related field, highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum two (2) year(s) of related experience in business office setting in a healthcare related field is required. A degree in a healthcare or business related field could be substitute for work experience. Business office work experience in a psychiatric hospital is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for timely processing of insurance verifications on inquiry and referral calls.
• Coordinate and process admission verifications into the hospital patient accounting system.
• Coordinate between business office and the admission departments on all financial issues regarding admissions.
