Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System is seeking an Insurance Verification Representative to verify insurance coverage, pre-authorize when needed, and input billing data into the computer system. The role supports a culture of Service Excellence and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include coordinating with physicians and patient care teams, expediting admissions when possible, and cross-training for additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum one year job related experience recommended
• Healthcare financial experience desirable
• Recommend moderate to intense concentration and attention to detail
• Typing skills
• Computer experience desirable
• Intense customer/people interaction experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Verifies insurance and releases billing data accurately and completely by contacting appropriate payer
• Maintains accurate, courteous, and efficient communication between physicians/office staff and patients
• Assists with and expedites admission processes
• Cross-trains to other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Director
• Participates in quality improvement processes within the department
