Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. is seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist for an onsite role at Ascension Dell Seton Medical Center – University of Texas in Austin.

The position verifies patient insurance, supports collections efforts, and helps deliver a positive financial experience for patients in a fast-paced healthcare setting. You will communicate with patients, payers, and internal teams, manage multiple accounts with accuracy, and participate in an on-call ED rotation.

Qualifications

• Previous insurance verification experience required.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Strong multitasking, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance coverage accurately and efficiently.
• Support collections efforts and help address patient financial responsibilities appropriately.
• Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and internal departments to resolve insurance-related issues.
• Manage multiple accounts while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
• Participate in Emergency Department on-call rotation twice per month and work some holidays as needed.

Every day you will verify insurance coverage, communicate with patients, payers, and internal teams, and manage multiple accounts while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
