Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year working in a medical office.
• Medical Billing experience preferred.
• Must be comfortable asking for payment.
• Must have outstanding phone etiquette and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility for upcoming appointments by EMR, online portals or contacting carriers.
• Explain financial responsibilities to patients.
• Enter insurance information and updates for patient accounts.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Assist in development and communication of SOPs for key areas.
• Answer questions from patients, clerical staff and insurance companies.
