Central Florida Health Care, Inc. seeks an Insurance Verification Specialist (IVS) in Winter Haven, FL. The IVS verifies benefits, secures pre-authorizations, and coordinates with insurance companies to ensure patient coverage for services.

The role requires strong problem solving and communication skills, plus familiarity with EHR and billing practices in a FQHC environment. On-site position with competitive benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• 3-4 years’ healthcare insurance verification experience required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology or concepts is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook is required.

Responsabilités

• Responsible for the Insurance benefits and authorization process.
• Submit Authorization to Insurance companies using Cover my Meds, Availity, and other software.
• Submit additional paperwork to authorize medications or services.
• Identify and update various types of insurance entry information.
• Understand product websites to obtain discounted pharmaceuticals for patients.
• Document patient charts and complete Authorization forms to assist coders.
• Collaborate with the HCA and team to streamline registration and benefits.
• Communicate with insurance companies to verify coverage and authorization needs.
• Maintain professional phone etiquette with providers, staff, and patients.
• Demonstrate strong organization, time management and documentation skills.
• Maintain Company dashboards.
